2012 Promotional Sponsorship Opportunities
Newcomer Packet Sponsorships
$1,000 annually ($500 if paid in advance, in full, prior to deadline of December 30, 2011)
The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce receives approximately 100 requests a month for Newcomer/Relocation Packets. Newcomer Packet Sponsors easily access this steady stream of new customers by distributing promotional materials or a personal note from your company in each newcomer packet. The program is limited to 20 paid sponsors. Sponsors will get "right of first refusal" in successive years.
Website Banner Sponsorship
Banner Ads - $1,000 for the YEAR!
Featured sponsor (auxiliary) ads- $400- $900
Be seen on the most "clicked" website in San Marcos! The Chamber website features information regarding San Marcos, links to Chamber members and partners, area events and Chamber activities. With more than 25,000 hits a month, this is sure to be a great spot for your business to be a sponsor.
'Monday Morning Memo' E-Newsletter Sponsorships
Sponsorship prices for members, $30 - $50 depending on size
The Monday Morning Memo e-newsletters are sent to over 1,300 contacts and are posted on the Chamber's E-Newsletter page on the website. Sponsored spaces are limited and are a great way to increase your visibility without breaking your budget!
"The Guide to Everything San Marcos" -- Official Chamber Magazine & Membership Directory
The Official Chamber Magazine and Directory is produced annually and distributed free of charge to newcomers and businesses locating in San Marcos as well as to local businesses and individuals. The publication is a full color, glossy production that offers members a reasonably priced color advertising opportunity in a publication that is viewed by thousands of people every year. Next print date: January 2012 - Space available through December 9, 2011.
Official San Marcos/Hays County Map
The Official City of San Marcos & Hays County Chamber maps are produced every 18 months and distributed free of charge to newcomers and businesses locating in San Marcos as well as to local individuals requesting a map. The San Marcos Tourists Information Center is also stocked with maps year-round. Reasonably priced color advertising on a community map that is received by thousands every year. Next print date: Fall 2012.
Member-to-Member Keytag Program
$2,500 annually
Members have the opportunity to promote their business with this colorful keytag. All members have the opportunity, at no charge, to list their discount on the Member-to-Member page on the Chamber's website. Great, inexpensive employee retention tool as well.
Door Prizes & In-kind Donations
Can you imagine having your company name called out at every Chamber event...even if you can't make it? Throughout the year, the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce presents numerous events and programs with opportunities to promote your business or organization by giving away Door Prizes, Auction Items and In-Kind Donations with YOUR name on them. Business After-Hours Mixers
$300 sponsorship fee; (event dates are typically the fourth Thursday of the month from 5:30-7pm and are available on a first come, first served basis.)
Join the fun in 2012 by hosting a Business After-Hours Mixer! You'll benefit from multiple promotions sent out in advance of the date...with either your logo or company name, as well as links to your website, you'll get additional promotional value for the sponsorship investment. Membership Luncheons and Eggs & Issues Breakfasts
$625 sponsorship fee - same as last year - (event dates are typically the second Thursday of the month and sponsorships are available on a first come, first served basis.)

The Early Readers Become Leaders Book Drive lasts the entire month of July. During that time we will be collecting new and gently used early childhood books at barrel locations throughout San Marcos and putting them into book bags for children between the ages of 0-6. Donations for book purchases and to cover the cost of backpacks accepted!
