2012 Rotary Club of Greater San Marcos Job Fair

Rotary  Club of Greater San MarcosThe San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce is joining forces with the Rotary Club of Greater San Marcos, Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area and the City of San Marcos to put on a job fair for the community on Thursday, April 26th from 12:00pm until 6:00 pm. The 2012 Job Fair will be held at the San Marcos Activity Center at 501 E. Hopkins Street, San Marcos, Texas.

The Job Fair is an annual community service project of the Rotary Club of Greater San Marcos and is in its eighth year. This year’s Job Fair will have room for up to 40 employer booths. Employers can reserve a booth for $85 (if reserved and paid in full by April 14th) by contacting Adplph Ortiz by phone at 512.392.1291 ext:3018, or by email at adolph.ortiz@ruralcapital.net. Or, you can download the Employer Registration Form here and send it in to the Rotary Club of Greater San Marcos.

Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area staff will initially register applicants and counsel them as to which employers to visit based on their experience, and there will be a separate private interview area available for immediate interviews. Austin Community College staff will also be available to discuss applicant training options. In addition, Gary Job Corps Staff will be available to discuss training programs available at the Gary Center.

PARKING AND SHUTTLE SERVICE

Parking will be available in different areas and shuttles will run from 11:00am - 6:00pm. Below is a map of the shuttle route, along with the designated parking areas for those attending the Job Fair, and the locations that the shuttles will stop to pick people up.

Please do not try to cross Hopkins on foot!
