CAMPO Making $6.583 million Available for Transportation Projects

Sales Tax Revenues Up 2.62% in San Marcos

In May, the City of San Marcos received sales tax collections of $1,855,319 for retail sales in March, an increase of 2.62% over March 2011.

The increase generated $47,348 more in revenue compared to March 2011. Since the beginning of the fiscal year on October 1, sales tax revenues are up by 4.7%.

Greater San Marcos Partnership welcomes new board members

Early Voting Begins May 14 for Party Primary

– Right on the heels of city and school board elections in Hays County, residents who are eligible to vote can go back to the polls as soon as May 14 for early voting in primary party elections. Early voting begins Monday, May 14 and runs through Friday, May 25. Election Day is Tuesday, May 29.

Agencies Launch ‘Citizen Observer’ Alert System

The San Marcos Police Department has joined with the Hays County Sheriff's office to sponsor a county-wide Citizen Observer Alert Network to allow citizens to sign up for crime alerts by text message or email.
