Community Development Director for the City of Hutto, Texas, joined the City of
San Marcos on June 8 as Assistant Director of Development
Services.
He will be responsible
for overseeing the development regulations
that govern the growth of San Marcos.
Lewis will work with developers

PARTNERS TO SIGN VILLAGE MAIN AGREEMENT

Partners in a one-stop social
service center for San Marcos agencies will sign an agreement of their intent to
establish the Village Main building on 29 acres located at Village of San Marcos
on Reimer Avenue off Hunter Road.
"The purpose for the Village of San Marcos is to
bring non-profits together on one piece of property to benefit clients," said
Penny Dunn, Village President and Commander with the San Marcos Police
Department. "Clients can avoid the problems of finding transportation and
childcare through the current maze of services and concentrate on the resources

EARLY READERS BECOME LEADERS BOOK DRIVE

Book Drive in July
United Way of Hays County, in partnership
with SOAR, will be conducting a book drive during the month of July. The goal is
to collect 1000 books for children ages 0-6 in both English and Spanish. The
books will then be distributed in book bags donated by Butler Manufacturing and
Gary Job Corp to students in the ECI and Head Start programs.
