Over 250 attendees enjoyed the Chamber's 2nd Annual Luau Networking and Fundraising event, Thursday, June 11 at Vantage San Marcos. Guests enjoyed food and drinks while touring our member display tables and testing out remote control boats in the pool area. Seventeen winning raffle tickets were drawn with lucky attendee, Gary Perdue, winning our grand prize $1000 Prime Outlets Shopping Spree.

Creating Leaders

graduated their Community Leadership Classes. Volunteers, alumni who have
themselves graduated from the leadership program, are now making plans for the
coming leadership year: organizing sessions, selecting speakers, planning
outcomes and recruiting students. Is it worth the effort?

UPDATE: YOUR 25 YEAR TRANSPORTATION PLAN

Thanks to everyone who participated in the first round of public involve for
developing the region's long-range transportation plan!
The process
included 5 public workshops, a survey in English and Spanish, social networking
websites, speakers bureau engagements, and contact with individuals. 1,199
surveys were submitted via on-line and postal mail throughout the
region.
A detailed report of the process, Technical Report #5: Round 1 Public
Involvement, is posted on the CAMPO website: www.campotexas.org/2035plan.php
Regional planners at CAMPO are using public input in crafting the draft
scenarios through this summer, and the second round of involvement for the plan
will be scheduled for this Fall. Additional updates will be available from the
Facebook group, Twitter updates, or giving us a
call at (512) 974-2275.
