San Marcos boasts a number of attractions. At the heart of the city is the crystal clear San Marcos River, a longtime favorite for tubing and relaxation. You can get tube rentals for the Eskimo Hut, Whitewater River Taxi & Tube Rental or Lion's Club Tube Rentals
We have a beautiful dam at Rio Vista Park named Rio Vista Falls that offers three adventurous drops perfect for tubing or kayaking. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at Power Olympic Outdoor Center, Spencer Canoes, and TG Canoes & Kayaks.
The River's source is at the fresh water springs of Aquarena Center. Here you can ride glass bottom boats and discover the unique plant and animal species that live in the crystal clear San Marcos River. Aquarena features several historical sites within the park and a wetlands walkway, which is a great site for birding.
At Wonder World, you can explore an earthquake-formed cave and ride to the peak of the 110-foot Tejas Observation Tower. There you will experience the beauty of the Texas Hill Country like never before. You can also take a unique train ride through Mystery Mountain into the wildlife petting park.
